Giopato&Coombes
2025
Between Venice and the heritage of Italian craftsmanship, Giopato & Coombes designs light as a living material. Since 2014, the studio has been creating "luminous sculptures" where industrial research meets a poetic soul, redefining the boundaries of contemporary lighting.
In collaboration with the studio, i evolved the visual identity (firstly delinead by Antinomy) adapting it to new contest and new necessity. I curated a coordinate system witch include brochure, postcard, pricelist, website content management, materials for exhibitions as wall prespaced. I also create tailored materials for new exhibitions, most recently, a curated envelope featuring a custom illustrator postcard and an accompanying haiku.
The main project was the 340 pages volume (255x318mm), born for tellin the studio vision from creative processes and natural inspirations. The main volume features a canvas cover with a debossed image and a bright yellow Pantone title. When open, it reveals a precious visible spine, a technical detail that emphasizes the craftsmanship of the volume. I managed every details to convey in paper the quality of the lamps: Inside, a silver pantone shines both in the 48 pages of Fedrigoni Arena Natural Rough and in the remaining coated pages of Fedrigoni Symbol Freelife Gloss. Side by side i had adapted this project to A5 format, an agile version that maintains entirely the aestethic impact and the excellence positioning of the studio.
